About Amy

Amy Ippolito is a devoted educator and energy healer who believes in the healing power of community and is passionate about helping others embrace their own journey to wellness and personal transformation. She also believes in being open and honest with communication being at the heart of it all. It is Amy's intention is that by sharing her very personal transformation story, that it may provide some hope and inspire others along their journey as well. 

Amy grew up in beautiful Northport, NY. She led a very active childhood and adolescence filled with sports, music, dance and all things nature-related. She completed her college degrees in both in Elementary and Special Education then got married and moved to NC to begin a career and start a family. She dedicated the next 29 years of her life to educating young minds in both North Carolina and New York, then returned to her roots in NY in the year 2000. She was blessed with two amazing children but as time passed, life started to shift in a more difficult direction (divorce, teaching fatigue and stress, weight gain etc.), which left Amy facing some personal health challenges. Forever an empath, these stressors had a cumulative effect on her body, mind, and spirit. Amy sought a more holistic approach to relief and discovered the incredible world of Energy Healing along with all things metaphysical to support her wellness quest... Yoga, essential oils, reiki, crystals, etc. These holistic modalities felt very aligned to her personal beliefs, and over time and with much consistency, she felt her vitality return, with more balance to her bodily health, mental clarity, and emotional wellbeing. This personal transformation started to develop into a living testimony, which ultimately inspired her to explore the world of the healing arts herself. It was then that Amy began to make some major changes in her professional life. 

Her journey began with a simple Reiki Healing session, given by her dear friend and now mentor, Jenny Israel. This transformative experience naturally blossomed into a deep spiritual awakening where Amy immersed herself in metaphysical studies, eventually achieving Master Level Reiki Practitioner herself in 2019, under the tutelage of Lisa Wolfson. The next step on her path with Jenny was achieving a certification in all levels of the Seraphim Blueprint Angelic Healing System, which not only added a uniquely powerful dimension to her professional healing services, but earned her an incredible new community of like-minded colleagues which was established during this profound spiritual voyage. These women and men continue to be part of her professional community today and continue to inspire support and motivate her daily.  This awakening led Amy to leave her full-time teaching position and open up a home-based private Reiki healing practice, which served her Kings Park community and outlying areas for several years. 

Along her spiritual journey, the use of crystals quickly became one of Amy’s greatest passions and obsessions! She had several profound life-changing experiences while using them for her personal healing which increased her curiosity and enthusiasm about these energetic tools. She became a Certified Crystal Healer in December 2019 with Lisa Wolfson, once again. Forever a teacher, this led to Amy leading Crystal 101 workshops at the local Simplicity Yoga Studio in Kings Park. During the height of the global pandemic, she and her good friend Rosanne Ferraiuolo started giving each other Reiki to get through the extreme times. It wasn't long before she recognized that their shared community was suffering through a deep need to gather after all the yoga studios had shut down. Amy became certified in yoga that summer and then she and Rosanne joined together to co-found "The Crystal Butterfly Boutique", housed within the front lobby of Rosanne’s Yoga studio. This was a tremendous thrill for them both, as they had such a mutual love for crystals and just wanted to share this passion and knowledge. Owning a crystal shop was also a secret dream of Amy's, after a few years of frequenting every store on Long Island (and beyond!) to amass her collection. For five straight years, they developed an incredible crystal community. This beautiful business venture nurtured thousands of people through the retail shop, their monthly educational classes, group sound and energy healing sessions, guest speakers, engaging workshops, psychic gallery events, live crystal sales and by utilizing their joint love of teaching and shared education backgrounds, they even held dozens of children’s crystal birthday parties!  The Crystal Butterfly Boutique was a glimmer of fun and excitement for Amy as she navigated the most painful chapter of her life- guiding and supporting both of her beautiful parents through devastatingly progressive illness and subsequent loss, all within 4 years' time. In February 2025, this difficult time of transition resulted in the decision to relocate to the east end of Long Island and close this beautiful chapter of her journey. A new chapter of her life was on the horizon!

Having had just planned and executed a successful spiritual wellness retreat in the fall of 2024 with her good friend and spiritual soul sister, Ellen Lozinski, a seed was planted that this could be the direction she wanted to go in for her next chapter in life. The experience had been so powerful, as it incorporated every aspect of the world she loved to teach others about, along with the ability to once again collaborate with her fellow spiritual colleagues. Several gave workshops and put their hearts and souls into one immersive, waterfront weekend event filled with fun, freedom, creativity and most importantly, community! Amy then decided to create her own nautical, spiritual wellness retreat company. Anchored Away Inc. was born in the Spring of 2025.

The name and subsequent logo design of the new company began about a year ago when Amy woke up one morning shortly after her father George’s passing, to a vision of an anchor in her mind’s eye. She immediately thought of the strength and safety this symbol represented, which was everything her father always provided her, especially after they lost her mom four years prior. She just knew she was getting continual messages from him as this anchor symbol/sign, as it continued to show up in every way shape and form week after week, month after month... ANCHORED. Whereas her mother’s spirit was captured and symbolized by the dragonfly. A symbol her beautiful mother, Lee, had chosen and verbally shared long ago, well before she passed, to ensure her family always knew she would be near. Her mother was forever an artist and a creative soul and this beautiful symbol represents fearlessness, embracing change and the beauty of new beginnings. She always encouraged Amy to "fly free" and to just be herself, no matter how unique or different her lifepath may have taken her....  AWAY. Away from any limiting beliefs or societal conditioning. These symbols, tied together with the ever-balancing and peaceful infinity symbol, represent the everlasting connection between those on Earth and those in Heaven, and act as a reminder to always EMBRACE THE JOURNEY of this crazy thing we call life. 

Anchored Away deeply honors and remembers Amy’s parents’ legacy of loving kindness, compassion, integrity, generosity and a life of selfless service.  It is her mission to spend the rest of her life in service to those who seek support and want to do the transformative internal work to learn who they truly are and unlearn who they truly aren't. She strives to help people believe in their dreams and assist those that want to change their lives for the better, all with the ultimate wish of returning that newfound inner light, life-force and energy back out into the world. This world needs all the light it can get right now and building a stronger light community is where it all begins!

What an amazing retreat! You could tell that so much love and thought went into planning it. There was an abundance of good food, activities, take home goodies, and of course, the infamous swag bag! This retreat really exceeded my expectations! It was so restful & relaxing, but also energizing & invigorating. It was a safe space to share & connect with like-minded people and to get in touch with our innermost thoughts as well as meet new friends. Camp de Wolf in Wading River was the perfect setting with the view of the L.I. Sound. I especially enjoyed my walks to the beach every morning and my hikes through the woods in the afternoon. The view from my room was incredible and I loved everything in my swag bag! I’m really looking forward to the next one!

I decided to have a grid session with Amy not knowing anything about it, just needing to shift my life a bit because I was stressed and riddled with anxiety about everything. I loved how a bunch of women came together (most of whom did not know each other) and almost immediately became family and their own community. I loved every part of this weekend. The accommodations were so comfortable and the setting was absolutely magical! The food was delicious and perfect. I loved how creativity was woven in throughout the whole weekend. This was the first time I’ve ever done a retreat, and by myself, not knowing anyone except Amy. It was the most amazing experience. All of it was really beautiful: The location, the people, the food, the activities and workshops. The location really took my breath away and I loved the accommodations. The house was historical and quaint with the most incredible water views. All the meals were delicious and accommodated my dietary restrictions. I loved being able to just create and talk with others without any time constraints. Before the retreat I wasn’t comfortable doing a lot on my own. Like being away without someone. It really got me started on being ok alone in a strange location with total strangers. Amy created a lovely and safe environment to share and become friends with women of all ages. The workshops were eye opening and information. To be able to hear the ocean when I went to sleep and woke up was truly a gift. I loved all of the items in the swag bag too. It was an AMAZING retreat!
