EEI Intro

This workshop is simply an introduction to who we are, what we do, and why we are here.

Everything you need to know about our three pillar approach. Home, School, and Self.

Building Relationships

Relationship building is central to success with your care team.

You'll learn how to make sure your voice is heard and how to encourage collaboration.

Interacting With Autism

Historically we are trying to teach autistic kids how interact according to the "norms" others have decided on.
This workshop helps us stop trying to fix what's not broken and start accepting differences. This is a collaborative effort with a local expert in the field, Jennifer Glacel.

The Power of Self Advocacy

Learn the importance of the student embracing their disability and understanding their acomodations.

When the student can advocate for their own needs, implementation is even more successful.

Twice Exceptional Students

It's easy to assume gifted kids don't need special education. That couldn't be farther from the truth.

We review how common disabilities are in gifted kids, why they are so often overlooked and underserved, and how to effectively advocate for the school to meet all of your child's needs.

What Are the Goals of Our Workshops?

The concept of empowerment begins at the root.  The root, in this case, is information.
Our workshops are designed to provide real life, relatable, and easy to digest information to answer the questions you have about special education.  The more you know, the more power you have.
New content can be added over time so your library becomes an evolving resource you can keep returning to.
