Clinical Documentation Training Registration
This training is for psychotherapists/clinicians who must document services provided to clients and create treatment plans. This is for anyone regardless of billing/not billing insurance.
The objectives of the training include:
1. Understand the why behind documentation from both a legal and ethical standpoint.
2. Learn a framework from which to build your treatment plan.
3. Gather techniques to easily write concise progress notes (that would pass chart audits or court reviews).
You will earn 3 CEUs which will also count as ethics CEUs.
How to Prepare
This training is a recording. Once purchased, you will be given access to the Documentation Training class and vault. Inside you will find the replay, handouts, a quiz to show proof of attendance, and instructions on how to obtain your CEUs.
Hi I am Amanda Wallingsford, LMFT-S. I have been in the social service field for over twenty years. I have been an MFT for 16 years, originally licensed in California. I spent many years working in programs that were audited by Medicaid on an annual basis, so I am very familiar with what is considered appropriate clinical documentation. I also worked for Texas HHS on a team that conducted audits at all the LMHAs for a medicaid funded program. I developed this training because I have seen that many clinicians never receive training that 1-explains why we document and create treatment plans in the first place, 2-teaches tools to document or treatment plan thoroughly yet efficiently. I want to support you to make this part of your job not so stressful.
