Nationwide, 1 in 6 students qualify for special education services, a rate that has grown by more than 14% over the last twenty years.
Over 60% of students receiving services also qualify for free or reduced lunch, and 12–15% are English language learners- often navigating additional barriers tied to language, income, and access.
The average non-lawyer advocate charges $300+ per hour, with standard cases often requiring 10–15 hours of support, putting critical advocacy out of reach for many families.
