This 60 minutes class introduces the student to Sephardic rabbinic literature and 5 approaches to the study of the Hebrew Bible: Moses Maimonides' anthropology, David Kamhi's grammar, Abraham Eben Ezra's linguistics, Don Isaac Abarbanel's themes and numerology, David Nieto's jurisprudence. Attention is given to language, terminology, rabbinic legal argumentation, and anthropology. 

This webinar allows the student to gain skills in reading and interpreting the Hebrew Bible,  knowledge of Near Eastern texts, insight into the world of Sephardic medieval rabbinic literature, and some familiarity with Sephardic rabbinic thought.
