Breaking Barriers: Women’s Struggles to Reach their Goals in a Patriarchal Workplace
Womens struggles in the workplace is an important subject to explore. The reason is 34% of the female economy is worth $7trillion dollars in annual spending and the female consumer overall controls $22trillion annually. ( Harvard 2014- Silverston and Sayer) But women are feeling vastly underserved.

'Woman as a group hold the power to define the 21st century" (Fast Company)
'Women can seize the reigns of power and  and define the future'  (Time Magazine)
In this article we will explore the intriguing landscape of women's talents and the strides we've made.
There is an undeniable gap between our potential and the momentum we've achieved. Unseen barriers and ingrained beliefs seem to be holding us back from reaching our full capabilities.
In the past half-century, Western women have become the most autonomous, educated, and powerful generation in history. Yet, paradoxically, many find themselves lonelier and more dissatisfied”. Dr. Clare Zammit asks the crucial question: why?
Why, particularly among older women, does the feeling of power coexist with a sense of powerlessness in creating the lives we yearn for? As women have ascended to positions of power, our values, challenges, and opportunities have undergone a transformative shift.
This power paradox resides within every successful woman. The self-actualization impulse, the desire to become creators of our lives, is palpable in every cell of our beings. We yearn to use our gifts to uplift those around us, step into leadership roles, and impact larger communities – to change the world.
However, despite women's progress, gender diversity and inclusion remain focal points in the ever-evolving modern workplace.
In male-dominated environments, women often feel unheard, invisible, and not good enough. The struggle to achieve goals is multi-faceted, encompassing stereotypes, biases, unequal opportunities, and limited representation.
One significant obstacle for older women is the persistence of gender stereotypes, particularly ageism.
Societal expectations often designate certain roles as inherently masculine, undermining women’s abilities in those areas. Women aspiring to traditionally male-held positions find themselves having to repeatedly prove their capabilities, facing sceptism their male counterparts rarely encounter.
In conclusion, the workplace challenges faced by women are deeply rooted in societal norms and biases. Nevertheless, with continued efforts and support, women are forging paths, shattering stereotypes, and paving the way for future generations.

What challenges do ladies in mid-life face?
  • You may be wanting a promotion at work but lack the confidence to apply when the opportunity arises,
  • You may be looking to change your career path entirely and don't know what you want, or you know, but limiting beliefs are holding you back and you don't know where to start.
  • You may want to stop being undervalued, taken for granted, not seen and not heard in the workplace, at home, or in your relationships.
  • You are retired or coming up for retirement and wondering "what's next"? I work with you to discover how you can find a new purpose in life post retirement, you can even start a new career(I did, and never regretted it)
I understand the challenges faced by ladies in mid-life because I have faced many challenges in my life at a young age and also as a mature woman, and have managed to overcome them and change my life.
It took a great deal of time and effort (often nothing worthwhile doing in life is easy) and the help of my own personal life coach recommended by a good friend.
Because I understand your hopes, fears and dreams, I can help you build the life you want through my personal development coaching programmes.
I have coached many ladies to make changes to their lives through helping them understand the importance of  learning self discipline,  self- love, self -confidence, overcoming fear, maintaining personal barriers, and discover their life purpose and who they can become. I teach them the art of saying NO more often and without feeling  guilty.
