The Discovery Strategy Session is a focused 1:1 consultation designed to help you take control of one of the most critical—and often mishandled—stages of your family court case: discovery. Whether you're the one requesting documents or responding to demands, this session helps you avoid costly mistakes, delays, and hidden traps that could weaken your position.
During this session, you’ll:
- Understand what you are legally entitled to request (and how to frame it strategically)
- Identify red flags and potential objections in the opposing party’s responses
- Learn how to follow up, enforce, and escalate if discovery is ignored or delayed
- Build a proactive plan for organizing and using discovery to support your case
- Get clarity on timelines, court rules, and how to avoid being stonewalled or set up
This session is ideal for both pro se litigants and those working with a lawyer who need next-level insight and a tactical edge. Walk away with a solid discovery game plan that protects your rights and sharpens your case.
This session does include review of Discovery Demands/Requests (either party's) or Discovery Responses (either party's) which is done in advance.
The time allotted for review of documents is up to .75. The remaining 1.25 hours is our meeting time.
NOTE: If you are requesting a review of your Discovery Demands/Requests we will need a copy of your Petitions/Cross-Petitions. If you are requesting a review of your own Responses to the other party's Demands, then we will need to see their Demands. If you are requesting a review of the other party's Responses to your Demands then we will need a copy of these Demands. We will NOT review any other documents not listed here.
Also, if the documents to review totals more than 40 pages, we reserve the right to bill you for any overages.
