Still Surrounded… But Still Standing

 Still Surrounded… But Still Standing
Sunday Devotional – June 29, 2025

 Still Surrounded… But Still Standing

Scripture Focus: Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Sis, have you ever looked around and felt like the attack was closing in from every direction?

Like the storm got louder.
Like the weapons got heavier.
Like the silence from God was deafening?

You’ve been standing. You’ve been praying. You’ve been crying out.
But it feels like Heaven is quiet and hell is having a field day.
You’re wondering:
“God… have You forgotten me?”

Let me declare this into your spirit this morning:
No, He hasn’t.
No, He won’t.
And no, this isn’t the end of your story.
When You’re Surrounded, Remember Who Surrounded You First

The enemy may be circling you right now.
People may be plotting.
You might feel the weight of spiritual warfare like never before.

But look again.

You’re not just surrounded by struggle.
You’re surrounded by the Savior.

The God who promised never to leave you is still in the middle of the mess.
The God who said, “I go before you,” is still out front.
He didn’t bring you through hell and heartbreak just to abandon you here.
This Battle Is Not Proof of His Absence—It’s Proof of Your Anointing

You don’t get attacked like this if you’re not carrying something dangerous to the kingdom of darkness.

The enemy didn’t come for you because you’re weak.
He came for you because you’re chosen.
Because you’re powerful.
Because you’re about to step into something that hell can’t stop.

But here’s what hell forgot:
You’re not fighting alone.
What Do You Do When You’ve Prayed and Nothing’s Moved?

You PUSH.
Pray Until Something Happens.
Even if your voice is tired.
Even if your knees are weak.
Even if your heart is broken—you PUSH.

You PUSH because God is still God.
You PUSH because His promises are still true.
You PUSH because even if you can’t see Him—you can trust Him.
Don’t Be Moved by What You Feel—Be Anchored by What You KNOW

God is not flaky.
He’s not finicky.
He’s not like people who walked away when it got hard.

He is FAITHFUL.
  • He was faithful when you were broken.
  • He was faithful when you had nothing left.
  • He was faithful when they betrayed you.
  • He was faithful when you felt unworthy.

And He is faithful right now.
He Hasn’t Brought You This Far to Leave You Here

Sis, you are too close to give up.
The fire didn’t destroy you.
The pit didn’t hold you.
The prayers haven’t been wasted.

God has walked every step with you.
Through every night of tears.
Through every unanswered question.
Through every moment you questioned your own worth.

And today, He’s reminding you:

“I have not forgotten you. I’m not done with you. And I will not fail you.”
Today’s Challenge:
  1. Get still. Turn off the noise. Shut down the voices of fear.
  2. Write down three battles that feel too heavy.
  3. Next to each one, write this: “BUT GOD IS WITH ME.”
  4. Then declare out loud:
“Even surrounded by trouble—I’m surrounded by glory.”
Today’s Declaration:

“God has not forsaken me.
He has not changed His mind about me.
He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Though I am surrounded, I will not be shaken.
I will pray until something happens.
I will trust when I cannot trace Him.
I will believe when my faith feels thin.
Because my God is faithful.
My God is with me.
And He has never lost a battle.”
Sis, lift your head.
Wipe your tears.
Straighten your crown.

You are not forgotten.
You are not forsaken.
You are not finished.

You are surrounded—
but you are STILL STANDING.

From Chains to Change — How God Redeemed My Life

Hey, Resilient Woman — Your Healing Starts Here

My name is Dashonia Marie, and I am living proof that God can take a shattered life and turn it into a story of strength, purpose, and redemption. I’ve walked through the fire — addiction, trauma, loss, and pain that tried to silence my purpose — but God’s grace met me in the ashes and taught me how to rise.

I know what it feels like to be broken, to question your worth, and to wonder if freedom is even possible. But I also know what it means to encounter the healing power of God — the kind that restores what was stolen, rewrites your identity, and breathes new life into weary hearts.

Through Encouraging Her Resilience, I’ve made it my mission to walk beside women like you — women who are ready to break cycles, renew their minds, and rediscover the woman God created them to be. This is not about perfection; it’s about progress. It’s about learning that your past does not define you — God’s promise does.

As a Certified Addiction Counselor and Faith-Based Recovery Coach, I don’t just offer sessions; I offer safe spaces — places where healing is nurtured, faith is strengthened, and transformation begins from the inside out.

I believe every woman has a comeback story waiting to be written — and I’m here to help you write yours. Because if God could redeem my life, He can surely restore yours.

Healing is possible. Hope is real. Freedom is yours — and it starts with saying yes.

With love and grace,

Dashonia Marie
