The Conflict Within

Victory Over the Mind Games

Victory Over the Mind Games
Day 3: Victory Over the Mind Games

August 1, 2025

Scripture:
“We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NLT)
Recap:
Sisters, over these last two days we’ve walked through the reality of the conflict within.

On Day 1, we faced The Battle No One Sees. We admitted that behind the smiles and the “I’m okay,” we fight silent wars inside of us. We learned that the very struggle we feel is proof that the Spirit of God is alive within us.

On Day 2, we asked, “Why does doing right feel so hard?” And we learned that it’s because our flesh and spirit are constantly pulling in opposite directions. The flesh longs for comfort and quick fixes, but the Spirit longs for holiness and truth. We realized that every time we choose the Spirit, we are breaking chains and stepping closer to destiny.

Now, on Day 3, we step onto the most dangerous battlefield of all — the mind.

Thought to Ponder:

The enemy doesn’t always attack with visible weapons. He attacks with thoughts. If he can plant a seed of doubt, fear, or shame in your mind, he knows he can keep you bound even when you look free on the outside.

Think about it: how many times have you looked like you had it together while silently battling thoughts like, “I’m not enough. I’ll never be free. God is disappointed in me. I’m too broken to change.”

Sis, this is where the enemy does his dirtiest work. He builds lies brick by brick until they become a fortress — a stronghold — in your mind. And if you don’t tear them down, they’ll dictate how you see yourself, how you live, and even how you see God.

But here’s the good news: you don’t have to believe every thought that crosses your mind. God has given you the authority to take those thoughts captive. That means you don’t just sit back and let them run wild — you grab them, confront them, and force them to bow to the truth of God’s Word.
  • When the enemy says, “You’ll never change,” you declare: “I am a new creation in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
  • When he says, “You’re too broken,” you answer: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).
  • When he says, “Your past defines you,” you proclaim: “Whom the Son sets free is truly free” (John 8:36).

Victory is not pretending you don’t hear the lies. Victory is standing up in the power of the Spirit and declaring, “Devil, you don’t get the final say — God does.”

Sis, listen — the mind is the gateway to your destiny. That’s why the devil fights so hard there. But you are not a prisoner in your own head. You are more than a conqueror. And with every lie you replace with God’s truth, you reclaim territory that was stolen.

The conflict within no longer has to control you. The God inside you is greater than every lie, every doubt, and every fear. Today, the battle in your mind shifts — because you’re not fighting alone. The Word of God is your weapon, and with it, you are unstoppable.
Reflection Questions:
  1. What negative thought has been holding you captive that you must confront today?
  2. Which scripture can you begin speaking over that thought to break its power?
  3. How would your life look if you walked daily in the truth of who God says you are?
Challenge for Today:
Write down three lies the enemy has been using against you. Beside each one, write a scripture that destroys it. Every morning this week, stand up and declare those truths out loud until the lie loses its hold on you.
Affirmation:
“My mind belongs to Christ. Every lie is silenced by God’s truth. I am no longer a prisoner of my thoughts — I walk in victory.”
Closing Word to the Women of Encouraging Her Resilience:
This 3-day journey has revealed the war inside, but it has also revealed your victory. You’ve faced the battle no one sees. You’ve discovered why doing right feels so hard. And today, you’ve taken back your mind.

From this day forward, don’t just recognize the lies — replace them. Don’t just fight the battle — win it. And remember: you’re not standing in this war by yourself. The God of Heaven fights for you, and through Him, you are already victorious.

Why Does Doing Right Feel So Hard?

Why Does Doing Right Feel So Hard?
Day 2: Why Does Doing Right Feel So Hard?

July 31, 2025

Scripture:
“The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other…” — Galatians 5:17 (NLT)

Devotional Thought:
Sisters, yesterday we exposed the truth that there is a battle no one sees — a war inside of us between what we want to do and what we actually do. And if we’re honest, some of us went to bed last night still wrestling with those same thoughts, still asking: “Why does it feel so hard to do what I know is right?”

Let me tell you the truth the enemy doesn’t want you to hear: it feels hard because there is a war for your soul. This isn’t just about breaking a bad habit or making a better choice — this is about destiny versus destruction, freedom versus bondage, life versus death.

Your flesh craves what numbs the pain, what brings quick pleasure, what feeds pride, anger, or bitterness. Your spirit, on the other hand, longs for holiness, peace, forgiveness, and truth. And every time you lean toward your spirit, hell gets nervous. Why? Because the enemy knows the power of a woman who finally walks free.

That’s why he whispers in the shadows of your mind:

  • “Just do it this one time — God will forgive you.”
  • “You’re too weak to really change.”
  • “No one even cares, so why keep trying?”

But the Spirit of God, living inside you, whispers back louder:

  • “You are chosen.”
  • “You are not who you used to be.”
  • “You don’t need that — you need Me.”

Sis, hear this: the reason doing right feels like climbing a mountain is because you are breaking generational strongholds. You are standing in the gap, stopping cycles of addiction, shame, abuse, and fear that have run in your family for years. Every time you choose the Spirit over the flesh, you are not just fighting for yourself — you are fighting for your children, your sisters, your future, and every woman watching you.

And yes, it feels heavy. Yes, it feels exhausting. But holiness is worth it. Freedom is worth it. And God’s strength is made perfect when you feel the weakest. You may feel like you’re barely holding on, but God says, “My grace is sufficient for you.”

Don’t miss this: If the fight is this intense, it’s because there is something in you the enemy does not want birthed. He wants to tire you out before you see the breakthrough. But you are stronger than you think, not because of you — but because the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.

So today, don’t shrink back. Don’t believe the lie that you’re too weak. Don’t let your flesh or the enemy convince you you’re losing. You are being pulled toward destiny — don’t let bondage drag you back.

Reflection Questions:

  1. When the temptation feels heavy, what lies does the enemy whisper to you?
  2. What would change in your life if you fully believed God’s Spirit was stronger than your flesh?
  3. How would your future look if you consistently chose Spirit over flesh?

Today’s Challenge:

Identify one moment today when your flesh and spirit are in conflict — and choose the Spirit. Write it down. At the end of the day, lift your hands in gratitude and declare:
“I am not my flesh. I belong to the Spirit of the living God.”

Affirmation:
“The struggle proves I am chosen. I will not go back. I am walking toward destiny, and God’s Spirit in me will not fail.”

The Battle No One Sees

The Battle No One Sees
Day 1: The Battle No One Sees

Scripture Focus:
“I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate.” — Romans 7:15 (NLT)

Devotional Message:
Let’s be real, my sisters: there are battles we fight that no one knows about. The kind of battles we cover up with makeup, fake smiles, and “I’m fine” when someone asks how we’re doing. These are the battles no one sees — the wars we fight within ourselves, the silent struggles that play out in the privacy of our minds and hearts.

We fight battles against temptation, replaying in our heads the very things we swore we would never go back to. We fight battles of shame, trying to forget the mistakes of yesterday that still whisper “you’ll never be free.” We fight battles of fear — fear of failing again, fear of not being enough, fear that if people really knew us, they wouldn’t love us.

Some of us are fighting battles in our minds, where thoughts won’t stop racing. The enemy plants seeds like, “You’re too broken.” “You’ll always be this way.” “God is tired of you.” And we don’t tell anyone because we’re afraid they wouldn’t understand.

We fight battles in our hearts — struggling to forgive when the wound is still fresh, struggling to trust God when life keeps hitting us with disappointments, struggling to love ourselves when we look in the mirror and only see scars.

But hear this, daughter of God: your inner battle does not disqualify you — it proves that you are still in the fight. If you had truly given up, there would be no struggle. The fact that you feel the tug-of-war between flesh and spirit means God’s Spirit is alive in you.

Paul himself confessed, “I don’t do what I want to do; instead, I do what I hate.” Even a mighty man of God wrestled with the same conflict within. That means you’re not strange. You’re not weak. You’re not less than. You’re human. And more importantly — you’re chosen.

The enemy wants to convince you that your struggle makes you unworthy, but the truth is this: the battle within you is the very evidence that God is working on you. Every time you fight to choose right, even if you stumble, you are declaring that the devil does not have full control over you.

Let me tell you something raw and real:
  • That secret temptation you’re too ashamed to tell anyone about? God already sees it, and He’s not running away from you.
  • That late-night loneliness that drives you back to old habits? God hears your silent cry in those moments.
  • That fear that tells you you’ll always be this way? God says, “I am doing a new thing. Do you not see it?” (Isaiah 43:19).

The battle no one sees is often the very place God births your greatest breakthrough. But you must stop carrying it alone. Invite Him in. Let His Spirit strengthen you where you feel the weakest.

Reflection Questions:
  1. What is the hidden battle you’ve been fighting silently — the one you’ve told no one about?
  2. In what ways has the enemy tried to convince you that this struggle makes you unworthy of God’s love?
  3. What would it look like for you to invite God into this battle, instead of fighting it in silence?

Challenge for Tonight:
Take out a piece of paper and write down the one battle that feels the heaviest right now — even if it scares you to admit it. Then pray this:
“Lord, I can’t carry this fight alone anymore. I lay this at Your feet. Give me the strength to choose Your will over mine, and remind me daily that I am not fighting by myself.”

Affirmation:
“I will not be defined by the war within me. My God fights for me, and in Him, I already have victory.”

Today, I dedicate my life to helping other women discover that same freedom. Through Encouraging Her Resilience, I strive to create resources that inspire hope, build resilience, and guide women on their journey to recovery—just as I’ve been guided on mine.

I believe healing is possible for every woman, no matter her story. My mission is to provide faith-based tools and encouragement to help women see their worth, embrace God’s promises, and walk boldly into the life He has planned for them. I am living proof that God can take our brokenness and turn it into something beautiful, and it is my heart’s calling to walk alongside others as they step into their own transformation.
