Day 7: Purpose & Calling

Day 7: Purpose & Calling

Scripture Focus:
"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago." — Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

Sis, stop and let that sink in — you are God’s masterpiece. Not a second draft. Not an afterthought. A masterpiece — uniquely designed, intricately crafted, intentionally set apart for something only YOU can do.

The truth is, many of us have been walking through life without ever asking God why we’re here. We wake up, we go to work, we take care of our kids, we put out fires every single day — and yet deep inside, we feel empty, unfulfilled, like there must be more. And there is.

God has a calling over your life that was written before the foundation of the world. Your past doesn’t cancel it. Your pain doesn’t erase it. Your mistakes don’t disqualify you. In fact, those very things are often the building blocks of your calling.

You’ve been through too much for your story not to matter.
You’ve cried too many tears for your pain not to have a purpose.
You’ve survived too many battles for your life not to carry an assignment from heaven.

But here’s the key — you will never discover your purpose outside of God’s presence. Purpose is not found by hustling harder, chasing success, or trying to prove yourself. Purpose is revealed when you surrender.

Proverbs 3:5–6 says:
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take."

Sis, this means letting go of control. It means saying, “God, here’s my pain, my gifts, my dreams, and my fears — do with them whatever You want.” It means letting Him write the story, even when you don’t understand every chapter.

Walking in purpose doesn’t mean life will suddenly be easy — but it does mean it will be meaningful. It means your life will start to point people back to Jesus. It means even your broken pieces will become someone else’s roadmap to freedom.

And if you’ve ever felt like it’s too late for you — hear this: it is never too late with God. Moses was 80 when he led the Israelites out of Egypt. Sarah was 90 when she gave birth to the child of promise. Your timeline might look different than you expected, but God’s timing is still perfect.

Prayer for Purpose & Calling

Father God,

I thank You for every woman reading this right now. You have called her. You have chosen her. You have written her name on the palm of Your hand. Lord, she is not an accident — she is Your masterpiece, created with divine intention.

Today we repent for the times we ran from Your calling, settled for less, or let fear silence us. Today we surrender it all — our plans, our pain, our pride, and our past — and we give You permission to take over.

Lord, open her ears to hear Your voice more clearly. Reveal the gifts You’ve placed inside of her. Show her how every battle, every trial, and every tear was shaping her for this very moment. Give her holy boldness to say YES to Your will, even when it scares her.

We declare that fear will not hold her back, doubt will not paralyze her, and the enemy will not distract her from the work You created her to do.
Strengthen her steps, align her heart, and let her walk with confidence into the destiny You wrote for her.

Today we declare by faith: I will live with intention. I will walk in obedience. I will fulfill every good work God has called me to do — for His glory and for the good of others.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

From Chains to Change — How God Redeemed My Life

Hey, Resilient Woman — Your Healing Starts Here

My name is Dashonia Marie, and I am living proof that God can take a shattered life and turn it into a story of strength, purpose, and redemption. I’ve walked through the fire — addiction, trauma, loss, and pain that tried to silence my purpose — but God’s grace met me in the ashes and taught me how to rise.

I know what it feels like to be broken, to question your worth, and to wonder if freedom is even possible. But I also know what it means to encounter the healing power of God — the kind that restores what was stolen, rewrites your identity, and breathes new life into weary hearts.

Through Encouraging Her Resilience, I’ve made it my mission to walk beside women like you — women who are ready to break cycles, renew their minds, and rediscover the woman God created them to be. This is not about perfection; it’s about progress. It’s about learning that your past does not define you — God’s promise does.

As a Certified Addiction Counselor and Faith-Based Recovery Coach, I don’t just offer sessions; I offer safe spaces — places where healing is nurtured, faith is strengthened, and transformation begins from the inside out.

I believe every woman has a comeback story waiting to be written — and I’m here to help you write yours. Because if God could redeem my life, He can surely restore yours.

Healing is possible. Hope is real. Freedom is yours — and it starts with saying yes.

With love and grace,

Dashonia Marie
