Day 9: Protection & Safety

Day 9: Protection & Safety

Scripture Focus:
"The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?"
 — Psalm 27:1 (NLT)

Sis, let’s talk about the world we’re living in right now.

Every time we turn on the news, devastation is staring us in the face. Mass shootings are happening in schools, grocery stores, malls, and churches — places that should feel safe. Women are being trafficked, children are going missing, neighborhoods are plagued with gun violence, and racism still puts innocent lives in danger. Wars are raging overseas, natural disasters are wiping out entire cities, and crime rates are climbing in our communities.

And if we’re being honest, sometimes fear feels closer than we want to admit. We worry when our children leave the house. We clutch the steering wheel a little tighter on the road. We check the locks on the doors more than once at night. The weight of wondering, “Am I safe? Are my kids safe?” can feel overwhelming.

But Sis, here is the truth: God is our refuge, our fortress, and our protector. Evil may be present in this world, but it does not have the final say.

Scripture reminds us in Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”
That means:
  • When bullets fly, His covering still stands.
  • When danger lurks, His angels are on guard.
  • When fear grips your heart, His peace can steady your spirit.
God’s protection doesn’t mean trouble will never come, but it does mean no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). It means you can walk out of your house with courage because heaven’s army walks with you. It means your children are not just in your care — they are in His hands.

Prayer for Protection & Safety

Father God,

We come boldly before You today, crying out for protection in a world that feels so uncertain. Lord, You see the mass shootings, the violence, the trafficking, the racism, the disasters, and the evil that surrounds us — but You also see every daughter of Yours who refuses to give up hope.

Father, we place ourselves, our children, and our homes under Your covering. Order Your angels to encamp around us day and night (Psalm 91:11). Surround our cars on the highways, surround our children in their classrooms, surround us in the grocery stores, workplaces, and everywhere our feet step.

Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over every woman reading this. Cancel every assignment of the enemy. Expose every hidden danger before it reaches us. Build a hedge of protection around our lives that no evil can penetrate.

We declare: we are blessed in the city and blessed in the field, blessed coming in and blessed going out (Deuteronomy 28:6). We will not be ruled by fear. We will not be paralyzed by what we see on the news. We will walk with confidence, knowing that our fortress, our refuge, and our safety is in You.

Lord, remind every woman today that she is not walking alone. Heaven is backing her. Angels are guarding her. And You, Almighty God, are fighting for her.
We give You all glory, honor, and praise.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Sis, the world may feel dangerous — but you are not defenseless. Stay prayed up. Stay covered. And remember: you are protected by the God who never sleeps, never slumbers, and never leaves your side.

From Chains to Change — How God Redeemed My Life

Hey, Resilient Woman — Your Healing Starts Here

My name is Dashonia Marie, and I am living proof that God can take a shattered life and turn it into a story of strength, purpose, and redemption. I’ve walked through the fire — addiction, trauma, loss, and pain that tried to silence my purpose — but God’s grace met me in the ashes and taught me how to rise.

I know what it feels like to be broken, to question your worth, and to wonder if freedom is even possible. But I also know what it means to encounter the healing power of God — the kind that restores what was stolen, rewrites your identity, and breathes new life into weary hearts.

Through Encouraging Her Resilience, I’ve made it my mission to walk beside women like you — women who are ready to break cycles, renew their minds, and rediscover the woman God created them to be. This is not about perfection; it’s about progress. It’s about learning that your past does not define you — God’s promise does.

As a Certified Addiction Counselor and Faith-Based Recovery Coach, I don’t just offer sessions; I offer safe spaces — places where healing is nurtured, faith is strengthened, and transformation begins from the inside out.

I believe every woman has a comeback story waiting to be written — and I’m here to help you write yours. Because if God could redeem my life, He can surely restore yours.

Healing is possible. Hope is real. Freedom is yours — and it starts with saying yes.

With love and grace,

Dashonia Marie
