Faith In The Fire
Day 1: Faith in the Fire

Scripture:
“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.” — Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)

Devotional Message:
Sisters, let’s be honest — none of us signed up for the fires of life. We didn’t choose betrayal, false accusations, heartbreak, or trials that leave us gasping for air. But they came anyway. And sometimes, the fire feels so hot and the waters so deep that you wonder if you’ll make it out alive.

I know that place all too well. I know the heaviness of waking up to harassment that doesn’t stop, of hearing false allegations whispered and shouted as if they were truth, of feeling the weight of being judged by lies instead of who I truly am. There were days I thought, “Lord, I cannot take one more hit.”

But God’s Word reminds us of something powerful in Isaiah 43:2. Notice it doesn’t say if you go through deep waters, it says when. Trials are not optional — they are guaranteed. But here’s the promise: when you go through them, you will not go alone, and you will not be destroyed.

Let that sink in: “I will be with you.” Not watching from a distance. Not sending someone else in your place. God Himself steps into the fire with you. Just as He was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego when the flames roared seven times hotter, He is with you now. That fire may be surrounding you, but it cannot consume you because the presence of God shields you. That river may be rushing, but you will not drown because His hand is holding you above the waves.

Maybe your fire looks like a broken relationship.
Maybe it’s the sting of being lied on or misunderstood.
Maybe it’s depression that weighs you down or fear that wakes you in the night.
Whatever your fire looks like, hear me clearly: This fire will not consume you.

God is using the very flames meant to destroy you to refine you — to burn away fear, shame, and lies, and to make you stronger than you’ve ever been. What the enemy created to break you, God is using to build you.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What fire are you walking through right now? Be specific.
  2. How can you remind yourself daily that God is with you in the middle of it?
  3. What lie has the enemy told you about your fire that you need to replace with God’s truth today?

Challenge:

Today, write down the fiery trial you are facing. Speak out loud over it:
“This fire will not consume me. I will not drown. I will come out stronger, because God is with me.”

Closing Prayer:

Father, I thank You that no fire I face will consume me and no river will drown me. Thank You for walking into every trial with me and for holding me up when I feel like I am sinking. Replace my fear with faith. Help me trust that what the enemy meant for harm, You are already turning for good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Affirmation for Today:
“I am not alone in the fire. God is with me, and this trial will not consume me — it will strengthen me.”

My Journey To Resilience And Redemption

Hey Resilient Woman,

My name is Dashonia Marie, and I am a woman who has experienced the depths of pain, addiction, and trauma—but also the transformative power of God’s grace and healing. My life is a testimony of how surrendering to God can bring renewal and restoration, no matter how broken the pieces may seem.

For years, I struggled with addiction, loss, and the scars of past trauma, but through faith and determination, I found freedom and purpose. Today, I dedicate my life to helping other women discover that same freedom. Through Encouraging Her Resilience, I strive to create resources that inspire hope, build resilience, and guide women on their journey to recovery—just as I’ve been guided on mine.

I believe healing is possible for every woman, no matter her story. My mission is to provide faith-based tools and encouragement to help women see their worth, embrace God’s promises, and walk boldly into the life He has planned for them. I am living proof that God can take our brokenness and turn it into something beautiful, and it is my heart’s calling to walk alongside others as they step into their own transformation.
