THE TRUTH YOU’VE BEEN AVOIDING IS THE FREEDOM YOU’VE BEEN PRAYING FOR
A Morning Word for the Women of Encouraging Her Resilience & Becoming Her
By Dashonia Marie
Good morning, Beautiful Woman.
As you rise today, before the noise of the world reaches you, God is inviting you into something sacred — truth.
Not surface-level truth.
Not the version you offer others.
But the truth you’ve been carrying quietly, carefully, and often painfully.
Not the version you offer others.
But the truth you’ve been carrying quietly, carefully, and often painfully.
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
— John 8:32 (NLT)
LET’S BREAK THIS SCRIPTURE DOWN
Jesus did not say hear the truth.
He said know the truth.
He said know the truth.
To know means to acknowledge it, face it, and stop running from it.
Freedom does not come from awareness alone — it comes from honest confrontation.
Freedom does not come from awareness alone — it comes from honest confrontation.
Many women are praying for freedom while avoiding honesty.
We ask God to heal what we won’t admit.
We ask Him to restore what we won’t surrender.
We ask Him to move while refusing to be truthful about where we really are.
We ask God to heal what we won’t admit.
We ask Him to restore what we won’t surrender.
We ask Him to move while refusing to be truthful about where we really are.
And Sis… that’s not rebellion — that’s fear.
THE COST OF LIVING UNTRUTHFULLY
When a woman can’t get honest with herself, she becomes emotionally exhausted.
When she can’t get honest with God, her prayers become guarded.
When she can’t get honest with God, her prayers become guarded.
She says:
“I’m okay.”
“I’ve healed.”
“I’ve forgiven.”
“I trust God.”
“I’m okay.”
“I’ve healed.”
“I’ve forgiven.”
“I trust God.”
But her heart says:
“I’m tired.”
“I’m hurting.”
“I’m still angry.”
“I don’t feel safe.”
“I’m tired.”
“I’m hurting.”
“I’m still angry.”
“I don’t feel safe.”
This disconnect is why so many women feel stuck —
Not because God isn’t moving, but because truth hasn’t entered the room yet.
Not because God isn’t moving, but because truth hasn’t entered the room yet.
WHY HONESTY IS A SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE
Honesty is not weakness.
Honesty is humility.
Honesty is humility.
“The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in those who tell the truth.”
— Proverbs 12:22 (NLT)
God delights in your truth — not your performance.
Honesty removes shame.
Honesty dismantles denial.
Honesty creates space for healing.
Honesty dismantles denial.
Honesty creates space for healing.
You cannot heal what you keep hidden.
And you cannot become her while protecting who you used to be.
And you cannot become her while protecting who you used to be.
THIS WORD IS FOR THE WOMAN WHO…
Knows something is off but won’t name it
Loves God but avoids certain conversations with Him
Is strong for everyone else but disconnected from herself
Is in Encouraging Her Resilience or Becoming Her and feels convicted, not condemned
Loves God but avoids certain conversations with Him
Is strong for everyone else but disconnected from herself
Is in Encouraging Her Resilience or Becoming Her and feels convicted, not condemned
Sis, conviction is God’s invitation — not His rejection.
WHAT TRUTH DOES IN THE MORNING
Truth aligns your heart.
Truth clears spiritual fog.
Truth restores intimacy with God.
Truth prepares you for the day without pretense.
Truth clears spiritual fog.
Truth restores intimacy with God.
Truth prepares you for the day without pretense.
Before you rush into today, pause and pray:
“God, show me the truth about me — and give me the courage to face it.”
“God, show me the truth about me — and give me the courage to face it.”
He will not shame you.
He will free you.
He will free you.
MORNING DECLARATION
Today, I choose truth over comfort.
I choose honesty over hiding.
I choose freedom over fear.
I allow God into every place I once avoided.
I choose honesty over hiding.
I choose freedom over fear.
I allow God into every place I once avoided.
Good morning, courageous woman.
Walk into this day unmasked, unburdened, and unafraid.
Walk into this day unmasked, unburdened, and unafraid.
Truth is not here to hurt you.
Truth is here to heal you.
Truth is here to heal you.
With strength and love,
Dashonia Marie
