Crowned in Resilience: You Were Never Meant to Break

Crowned in Resilience: You Were Never Meant to Break

Crowned in Resilience: You Were Never Meant to Break

Scripture Focus:
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed." — Isaiah 61:1 (NLT)

 Woman of God, Lean In

There comes a point in every woman’s journey where the weight of life feels unbearable. Addiction, heartbreak, abuse, grief, shame—these storms don’t just bruise your body, they try to bury your spirit. And yet, here you are. Reading this. Breathing. Standing. Living proof that the fire did not consume you.
Let that sink in: You. Are. Still. Here.
The enemy thought you’d stay broken, stuck in cycles of pain, defined by labels and losses. But the truth is, God never designed you to remain in the ashes. He created you to rise, to shine, to walk in freedom with your head held high and your heart wrapped in His glory.

 Your Pain Has a Purpose

Every scar tells a story. Every tear watered a seed. Every heartbreak pushed you closer to the heart of God. Your past may have been dark, but sis, your future is drenched in light.
Romans 8:28 declares: “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Nothing you’ve endured has been wasted—not one mistake, not one failure, not one setback. God has been using it all to shape you into a woman of unshakable resilience.

 Resilience Is Your Spiritual Weapon

Resilience is not just “bouncing back.” It is standing taller than you ever did before. It is saying, “I may have been pressed, but I will not be crushed. I may have been wounded, but I will not be defeated.”
When you clothe yourself in resilience, you are putting on armor. You are declaring that no chain, no generational curse, no addiction, and no wound has the power to hold you hostage anymore.
Sis, you don’t just carry resilience—you are crowned in it.

 The Call to Rise Higher

The women of Encouraging Her Resilience know this truth: recovery isn’t just about leaving behind what broke you—it’s about embracing who God always intended you to be.
  • You are not just a woman in recovery.
  • You are a daughter of destiny.
  • You are not defined by how others see you—you are defined by the One who redeemed you.
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
Do you hear that? You are His masterpiece. Flawed, maybe. Weathered, perhaps. But still—a divine masterpiece.

A Word Straight to Your Heart

Woman of resilience, your journey has not been easy, but it has been holy. Every day you wake up and choose recovery, you are walking in your calling. Every time you refuse to bow to the weight of depression, shame, or addiction, you are declaring to the world: “God’s hand is on me, and I will not break.”
So, lift your head. Straighten your crown. Breathe in His peace. Exhale every lie that says you can’t make it. Because sis, you already made it further than anyone thought you would.

 Prayer for You Today

Lord, remind me daily that I am clothed in Your strength and crowned with resilience. Let my scars be proof of Your power, not my pain. Let my life reflect Your glory and remind every woman who sees me that we are never too broken for Your healing, never too far gone for Your grace. Amen.

 Final Word

This is your moment. This is your season. You were not created to remain in the shadows of what broke you. You were created to rise, to shine, to walk in freedom, and to lead other women into the same light.
You are resilient. You are redeemed. You are royalty. Now, walk like it.

God Is Watching: You Don’t Have to Fight Back

God Is Watching: You Don’t Have to Fight Back

God Is Watching: You Don’t Have to Fight Back

Scripture:
“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.”
 — Romans 12:19 (NIV)

Let’s be real, Sis—life isn’t always fair. People lie. People manipulate. People slander your name, twist your truth, and work overtime to see you fail. And when it comes from those you once trusted, it cuts even deeper.
Have you ever laid awake at night replaying the words they said, the lies they spread, the way they tried to destroy you? Have you ever felt the fire of anger rising inside, wanting to give them back exactly what they gave you?
You’re not alone. We’ve all been there.
But here’s the truth that will set you free: you don’t have to fight back—because God is already fighting for you.

God Sees What They Did

You don’t need to convince anyone. You don’t need to clear your name in every room your enemy has slandered it. Why? Because God sees what they did. Every hateful word. Every manipulative scheme. Every spiteful act. None of it is hidden from Him.
And when God sees injustice, He moves. Sometimes His justice is immediate. Other times, He makes you wait. But make no mistake—the God who sits high is watching closely, and He will defend His daughters.

Don’t Fall Into the Trap of Revenge

Sis, revenge is a trap. It feels good for a moment, but it poisons your spirit. It takes your eyes off of God and places them on your enemy. That’s exactly what the enemy wants—for you to waste your time fighting battles that were never yours to fight.
Remember this: you can’t heal while holding a sword of bitterness.
The more you seek revenge, the more you keep yourself chained to the very person who tried to break you.

The Hard Truth: God Loves Your Enemy Too

Here’s where it gets uncomfortable: the same God who protects you is the same God who also protects your enemy.
That doesn’t mean what they did is excused. It means God’s justice is higher than our emotions. While we see someone who hurt us, God still sees someone He created. While we want revenge, God wants redemption.
That’s why Jesus said, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). He wasn’t excusing their actions—He was protecting your heart from becoming like theirs.

Choose to Trust God

When you choose not to retaliate, you’re not weak—you’re wise. You’re saying, “Lord, I trust You enough to handle this better than I ever could.”
And guess what? He will. God has a way of silencing lies, exposing truth, and elevating His children in the presence of their enemies. He has a way of turning every scheme into a stepping stone.
So instead of wasting your energy plotting revenge, spend it praising the God who protects, defends, and restores.

Final Word

Sis, you don’t have to fight dirty when you serve a God who fights holy battles. You don’t need revenge when you have a righteous Judge.
Let this sink in: your enemy cannot block what God has already blessed.
So the next time you’re tempted to clap back, pause and remember this: God is watching. God is protecting. God is working. And His justice will always prevail.

Declaration of Faith:
“I will not waste my energy on revenge. I will not let bitterness control me. I release my enemies into God’s hands, and I trust Him to fight for me. My peace is my proof that God is in control.”

They Can Strip the Robe, But They Can’t Strip the Favor

They Can Strip the Robe, But They Can’t Strip the Favor

They Can Strip the Robe, But They Can’t Strip the Favor

Last night, as I closed out my day in prayer and opened my Bible, the Spirit of the Lord drew me into the story of Joseph once again. And as I read, I couldn’t shake it—my spirit was stirred, my heart was burning, because God wasn’t just reminding me of Joseph’s story. He was reminding me of my own.

When Favor Paints a Target

Joseph was chosen. God gave him dreams, visions, and a glimpse of destiny. But the moment favor marked him, jealousy followed. Not from strangers, not from enemies in the street—his own brothers. His own blood couldn’t stand the favor on his life (Genesis 37:4–5).
And that pierced me last night, because that’s exactly where I am. I know what it’s like to feel the sting of betrayal by people close to me. I know what it’s like to have lies whispered and daggers thrown by those who should be covering me. I know what it’s like to see authority figures and leaders—people who should build you up—trying instead to tear you down.
But here’s the revelation God gave me: favor will always attract jealousy, but jealousy can’t cancel favor.
Sis, they can strip the robe, but they cannot strip the favor.

Faithfulness in the Fire

Joseph was lied on. He was locked up. He was forgotten. But in every dark place, Scripture repeats one truth:
“But the Lord was with Joseph.” — Genesis 39:21 (NLT)
Catch that. God didn’t just meet Joseph in the palace—He walked with him into the pit, into Potiphar’s house, into the prison. And everywhere Joseph went, favor followed.
That word hit me like lightning. Because just like Joseph, I’m walking through a season where lies surround me, jealousy rises against me, and storms rage in my life. But God reminded me: My hand is still on you, Dashonia. My favor still covers you. And no attack can undo what I ordained.

Stand Still and Let God Fight

When betrayal comes, the flesh wants to fight. But Joseph didn’t waste his strength proving himself. He didn’t chase down lies or beg for validation. He stayed faithful. He stood still. And when the time was right, God Himself lifted him from the prison to the palace.
Last night, the Lord whispered to me:
“Dashonia, just stand. Stop fighting in your flesh. Watch Me fight for you.”
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14 (NLT)
Sis, sometimes standing is the boldest faith move you can make.

Guard the Vision

Joseph shared his God-given dream with the wrong people, and jealousy nearly destroyed him. That was my reminder last night: not everyone deserves access to what God has spoken over your life.
Some will pray for you. Some will plot against you. That’s why God calls us to discernment. Guard your anointing. Protect your vision. Don’t let excitement cause you to reveal what the enemy is waiting to attack.

A Word for the Woman in the Storm

Sis, I don’t know what storm you’re facing today, but I know the God who is standing in it with you.
The pit was not Joseph’s end. The prison was not his end. Betrayal was not his end. And it will not be yours either.
God’s plan for you is bigger than the lies being told about you. His favor is stronger than the jealousy around you. His anointing is greater than the attacks against you.
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” — Isaiah 54:17 (NLT)
The palace is still ahead. The promise is still alive. And the same God who raised Joseph is raising you.

 You Will Rise

They may strip the robe, but they cannot strip the favor. They may delay you, but they cannot deny you. They may bury you in lies, but they cannot bury the truth.
God’s anointing is on you. His favor follows you. And His promise will stand.
So, my encouragement to you is this:
  • The pit is not your grave.
  • The prison is not your ending.
  • The betrayal is not the final word.
Stand still. Stay faithful. Watch God fight. Because if Joseph rose, so will you.

 Declaration of Faith:

Lay your hand on your heart and speak this over yourself:
“The Lord is with me. His favor covers me. And no matter who comes against me, I will rise.”

Day 9: Protection & Safety

Day 9: Protection & Safety

Day 9: Protection & Safety

Scripture Focus:
"The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?"
 — Psalm 27:1 (NLT)

Sis, let’s talk about the world we’re living in right now.

Every time we turn on the news, devastation is staring us in the face. Mass shootings are happening in schools, grocery stores, malls, and churches — places that should feel safe. Women are being trafficked, children are going missing, neighborhoods are plagued with gun violence, and racism still puts innocent lives in danger. Wars are raging overseas, natural disasters are wiping out entire cities, and crime rates are climbing in our communities.

And if we’re being honest, sometimes fear feels closer than we want to admit. We worry when our children leave the house. We clutch the steering wheel a little tighter on the road. We check the locks on the doors more than once at night. The weight of wondering, “Am I safe? Are my kids safe?” can feel overwhelming.

But Sis, here is the truth: God is our refuge, our fortress, and our protector. Evil may be present in this world, but it does not have the final say.

Scripture reminds us in Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”
That means:
  • When bullets fly, His covering still stands.
  • When danger lurks, His angels are on guard.
  • When fear grips your heart, His peace can steady your spirit.
God’s protection doesn’t mean trouble will never come, but it does mean no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). It means you can walk out of your house with courage because heaven’s army walks with you. It means your children are not just in your care — they are in His hands.

Prayer for Protection & Safety

Father God,

We come boldly before You today, crying out for protection in a world that feels so uncertain. Lord, You see the mass shootings, the violence, the trafficking, the racism, the disasters, and the evil that surrounds us — but You also see every daughter of Yours who refuses to give up hope.

Father, we place ourselves, our children, and our homes under Your covering. Order Your angels to encamp around us day and night (Psalm 91:11). Surround our cars on the highways, surround our children in their classrooms, surround us in the grocery stores, workplaces, and everywhere our feet step.

Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over every woman reading this. Cancel every assignment of the enemy. Expose every hidden danger before it reaches us. Build a hedge of protection around our lives that no evil can penetrate.

We declare: we are blessed in the city and blessed in the field, blessed coming in and blessed going out (Deuteronomy 28:6). We will not be ruled by fear. We will not be paralyzed by what we see on the news. We will walk with confidence, knowing that our fortress, our refuge, and our safety is in You.

Lord, remind every woman today that she is not walking alone. Heaven is backing her. Angels are guarding her. And You, Almighty God, are fighting for her.
We give You all glory, honor, and praise.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Sis, the world may feel dangerous — but you are not defenseless. Stay prayed up. Stay covered. And remember: you are protected by the God who never sleeps, never slumbers, and never leaves your side.

Day 8: Strength for Single Mothers

Day 8: Strength for Single Mothers

Day 8: Strength for Single Mothers

Scripture Focus:
"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)

Sis, today we are stopping to honor the women who are fighting battles that most people never see — our single mothers.
As much as we wish every child could grow up with two loving parents in the home, that is not always the reality. Many of us were raised by a single mother, and many of us are single mothers right now — doing the work of two parents, carrying loads that were never meant to be carried alone.
Being a single mother is not just a title — it’s a sacrifice.

It’s staying up late at night after everyone is asleep, crying silently because you don’t know how you’re going to make ends meet.
It’s dragging yourself out of bed before the sun comes up because someone has to get the kids to school, pack the lunches, go to work, and keep everything together.
It’s working two jobs and still praying over the bills.
It’s missing out on things for yourself so your children never have to feel the lack.
It’s fighting through your own heartbreak, trauma, and exhaustion — and still showing up every single day.

And let’s not forget the mother who isn’t technically single, but feels like she is because she is emotionally abandoned in her relationship or marriage. She carries the weight of parenting alone, prays alone, and cries herself to sleep while her partner remains distant. Sis, this blog is for you, too.

Today, we say: You are doing a good job.
Your children see more than you think. God sees every tear you cry, every sacrifice you make, every meal you skip so they can eat, every prayer you whisper when you think no one is listening.

Psalm 56:8 says, "You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."

You are not just surviving — you are sowing seeds of strength and faith into your children’s future. You may feel unseen, but heaven sees you. You may feel weak, but God says His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Prayer for Strength for Single Mothers

Father God,

Today we lift up every single mother reading this prayer. Lord, You see the late nights, the early mornings, the worries, the exhaustion, and the hidden battles no one else knows about.

Father, remind her today that she is not forgotten. Remind her that You are with her in the car rides, in the sleepless nights, and in the tears she cries quietly. You are her strength, her provider, and her defender.

Lord, open doors of provision. Bless her finances. Provide for her home. Give her wisdom to raise her children in Your ways, and surround her with a community that will help carry the load. Break every spirit of loneliness, fear, and shame that tries to overwhelm her. Replace it with peace, joy, and unshakable faith.

For the woman who feels like she is single in her marriage — strengthen her heart, soften the heart of her spouse, and restore unity in her home.

We declare that her children will rise up and call her blessed (Proverbs 31:28). We declare that she will not grow weary in doing good, because at the right time she will reap a harvest (Galatians 6:9). We declare that she will walk in Your strength, that she will not faint, and that she will know she is not raising her children alone — Heaven is backing her up.

Lord, fill her with fresh strength today. Let her feel Your arms holding her up when she feels like falling. Let her know that You are proud of her, that You see her, and that You are faithful to carry her and her children through.

In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
