But God

But God

There are moments in life when the weight of the world feels unbearable. You wake up weary, go to bed restless, and wonder if God even hears your cries. You try to keep it together, but everything around you seems to be falling apart. Life hits hard—and sometimes, it doesn’t stop hitting.
For many of us, it feels like wave after wave of hardship, heartbreak, and disappointment.

You lose the job you thought was secure.
You pour your love into people who don’t pour back.
You stretch every dollar just to keep the lights on.
You pray and still face doors that remain closed.
You give your all—and it still feels like it’s not enough.

Then discouragement starts creeping in. The enemy starts whispering lies: “You’ll never get out of this. You’ll never recover. God has forgotten about you.” And before you know it, the weight of depression, fear, and defeat starts to feel normal. You begin to think, “Maybe this is just my life.”
But that’s when God steps in.

But God.

Two of the most powerful words in all of Scripture. Two words that change everything.
Because “But God” means there’s a shift. It means there’s divine intervention. It means the story isn’t over, no matter how dark it looks. It means Heaven just stepped into your situation.

“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.” — Psalm 73:26 (NLT)

Those two words separate what was from what will be.
You were broken
 —but God healed you.
You were lost
 —but God found you.
You were overlooked
 —but God chose you.
You were drowning in sin
 —but God saved you.
You were at the edge of giving up
—but God stepped in and lifted you up.

Every “but God” moment is proof that His hand is still on your life. It’s the reminder that when the world says, “It’s over,” God says, “I’m just getting started.”

Maybe you’re reading this tonight with tears in your eyes because everything feels too heavy. You’ve been praying, fasting, crying, hoping—and nothing seems to change. The truth is, life is full of trials and tribulations. Jesus said it Himself:

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33 (NLT)

Trouble is guaranteed, but defeat is not. You may be walking through fire, but you won’t be burned. You may be surrounded by trouble, but you are not destroyed. You may be weak, but you are not forsaken. Because “But God” means the story doesn’t end in your suffering—it ends in His glory.
He is not a man that He should lie. If He said He would make a way, then a way is being made—even if you can’t see it yet. But God means that when your strength runs out, His power takes over. It means when there’s no money left, He becomes your Provider. When you’ve been betrayed, He becomes your Defender. When you’ve lost everything, He becomes your Restorer.

The beauty of “But God” is that it shifts the focus from your problems to His promises.
✨ You may be weary, but God will renew your strength.
✨ You may be lonely, but God will be your companion.
✨ You may be heartbroken, but God will heal your heart.
✨ You may be struggling, but God will provide every need.
✨ You may be lost in confusion, but God will give you clarity.

The requirement is simple: surrender and be faithful. Even when you don’t understand, even when you can’t see the outcome—trust Him. God is never early, never late, but always right on time.

Your pain doesn’t go unnoticed. Your tears are counted. Your prayers are stored up. And the same God who parted the Red Sea, the same God who delivered Daniel from the lion’s den, the same God who raised Jesus from the dead—that same God is still performing miracles today.

So, if you’re in the middle of your storm, hold on. This is not your ending—it’s your setup for divine breakthrough.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” — Psalm 34:19 (NLT)

Let this truth settle deep in your heart: You may have problems, but you also have a promise.
You may face trials, but you also serve a Deliverer.
You may walk through fire, but you walk with the One who never leaves your side.
And when it all seems too much to bear, whisper these words that shake the enemy’s camp:

But God.

Because those words mean your situation is about to shift, your weeping is about to end, your dry season is about to break—and your testimony is about to speak louder than your pain.

Hold on, woman of God. Your But God moment is already in motion.

🌙 Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Tonight I come before You with a weary heart but a believing spirit. I’ve seen struggle, I’ve felt loss, and I’ve faced more than I thought I could bear—but You, Lord, have been my strength through it all. Thank You for being my Redeemer, my Provider, my Protector, and my Peace.
Father, when life feels too heavy, remind me that You are not done. When I can’t see the way, help me to remember that You are the Way. When I am weak, let Your power rise within me. Teach me to trust You through the storms and to hold on to Your promises even when everything else is shaking.
Lord, I surrender my fears, my doubts, and my struggles to You. I give You my broken pieces, believing You will make something beautiful out of them. Remind me that I am never forgotten, never forsaken, and always loved.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

 Faith Declaration

I declare that no matter what I face, God is still in control.
I declare that every mountain standing before me will move in His perfect timing.
I declare that what was meant to break me will only build me.
I declare that my story will be a testimony of
But God moments—miracles that only Heaven could perform.
I will not give up, I will not lose faith, and I will not forget who my God is.
Because through every heartbreak, every setback, and every trial—

But God.

From Chains to Change — How God Redeemed My Life

Hey, Resilient Woman — Your Healing Starts Here

My name is Dashonia Marie, and I am living proof that God can take a shattered life and turn it into a story of strength, purpose, and redemption. I’ve walked through the fire — addiction, trauma, loss, and pain that tried to silence my purpose — but God’s grace met me in the ashes and taught me how to rise.

I know what it feels like to be broken, to question your worth, and to wonder if freedom is even possible. But I also know what it means to encounter the healing power of God — the kind that restores what was stolen, rewrites your identity, and breathes new life into weary hearts.

Through Encouraging Her Resilience, I’ve made it my mission to walk beside women like you — women who are ready to break cycles, renew their minds, and rediscover the woman God created them to be. This is not about perfection; it’s about progress. It’s about learning that your past does not define you — God’s promise does.

As a Certified Addiction Counselor and Faith-Based Recovery Coach, I don’t just offer sessions; I offer safe spaces — places where healing is nurtured, faith is strengthened, and transformation begins from the inside out.

I believe every woman has a comeback story waiting to be written — and I’m here to help you write yours. Because if God could redeem my life, He can surely restore yours.

Healing is possible. Hope is real. Freedom is yours — and it starts with saying yes.

With love and grace,

Dashonia Marie
