Day 4: I Will Not Be Moved — My Help Comes From the Lord
Day 4: I Will Not Be Moved — My Help Comes From the Lord

Scripture Focus:
“I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:1–2 (NIV)
Devotional Message:

Sis, it may look like you’re surrounded.
It may feel like you’re sinking.
Everything around you might be screaming “Give up!”
But you’ve got to decide today:
“I will not be moved.”

Not by the lies.
Not by the system.
Not by betrayal.
Not by fear.
Not by what it looks like.
Not by what they said.
Not even by what you feel.

Because your help—your real, powerful, supernatural help—comes from the Lord.

The truth is, we live in a world that tries to break women like us—strong, resilient, faith-filled women who are just trying to obey God. But even when the fire gets hotter, God gets closer. And even when the world turns against you, God stands for you.
Let me remind you of what God already promised:
  • He said “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17)
  • He said “Who the Son sets free is free indeed.” (John 8:36)
  • He said “I will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies.” (Psalm 23:5)
  • He said “I will enlarge your territory and keep you from harm.” (1 Chronicles 4:10)
  • He said “When you pass through the fire, you shall not be burned.” (Isaiah 43:2)

So even if the situation looks bad—God’s goodness is better.

Even if they’re slandering your name—God is writing a new story.

Even if the storm is raging—God is still in control.

Don’t you dare lower your eyes. Don’t you stop believing.
Look up. Your help is coming.

Challenge for Today:

Write this declaration and speak it out loud:

“I will not be shaken. I will not be moved. I lift my eyes to the hills because my help is coming. I may be in the fire, but I will not be consumed. God is with me, and His promises are my anchor.”

Then write out three promises from God’s Word that you will stand on this week. Post them where you can see them daily.

Affirmation for Today:
“I don’t care what it looks like—my help comes from the Lord. I am not defined by this situation. I am defined by the promises of God. I will not be shaken, I will not be moved. I walk in freedom, favor, and faith.”

My Journey To Resilience And Redemption

Hey Resilient Woman,

My name is Dashonia Marie, and I am a woman who has experienced the depths of pain, addiction, and trauma—but also the transformative power of God’s grace and healing. My life is a testimony of how surrendering to God can bring renewal and restoration, no matter how broken the pieces may seem.

For years, I struggled with addiction, loss, and the scars of past trauma, but through faith and determination, I found freedom and purpose. Today, I dedicate my life to helping other women discover that same freedom. Through Encouraging Her Resilience, I strive to create resources that inspire hope, build resilience, and guide women on their journey to recovery—just as I’ve been guided on mine.

I believe healing is possible for every woman, no matter her story. My mission is to provide faith-based tools and encouragement to help women see their worth, embrace God’s promises, and walk boldly into the life He has planned for them. I am living proof that God can take our brokenness and turn it into something beautiful, and it is my heart’s calling to walk alongside others as they step into their own transformation.
